Mkulu Kei horse trails, a equestrian safaris working riding gap experience on your working travel vacation in South Africa Wild Coast will give you the opportunity to work with horses of all ages, ride, learn our horse training methods and our holistic approach to horses. Your first choice in a work and travel gap year. By volunteering with us you will be one of only a few students making your South African adventure a combination of equine work and riding in a family environment at a working stud and riding school. No hours of cleaning tack and mucking out stables; get to the fun part of horse riding. With ±70 horses of all ages we have an endless number of horses that require ‘in the saddle’ training. The ones that are backed and going and have potential as equines for advanced clients need additional schooling in the arena to bring out their best. On your working abroad holiday you could finish off backing young stock that are ready for their first rider.
Abused, rescued horses and foals that require handling on a regular basis and bonding with, grooming, touching and picking up feet. On your gap riding exchange program you will make a difference to our development boys and novice clients on the beach ride at Morgan Bay. We take an incredible amount of first time riders and you could either help teach as you guide or take the more advanced riders on a different route and at a different pace. If you join us in our school holidays you are going to clock many riding hours in the saddle and will get to see why we need so many working horses. On your riding working gap vacation, join us on a trail ride over night at a reduced rate, a clever way to go on a safari trekking experience and extend your riding holiday.

There are so many equestrian holidays and vacations, offering safari work with horse’s gap year opportunities why choose us? Read on and find out.
"A real ride to many places at any paces"

Read Working Riding Gap Holiday to see which of our four options suits you.

You could be here volunteering on your coastal horse-working gap exchange riding vacation, riding horses on the beach.
