Learning to ride a horse is one of those things one should learn
during ones life, sometime you will get the opportunity to ride
a horse or pony. Depending on either your own experiences with
horses or another persons, you will be open to the idea or totally
opposed. Give your child the gift of being comfortable near
or in the saddle, knowledge empowers you and many of the myths
expelled with learning in a controlled safe riding stable with
instruction.
Pony camps and children’s riding holidays are a great way for
kids to learn to ride horses. Mkulu Kei Horse trails is a working
trail riding establishment and stud. We have always opened our home
to our young riding clients during the holidays and now ready to open
to the public. The camp is a personilised home from home experience.
On Monday the kids arrive or can be fetched from East London with
little or no equestrian experience; depart on Sunday afternoon feeling
confident in the saddle and on the ground around horses. On Sunday
we have a braai with the parents and the kids can show their parents
their riding skills, in a mini show.
