A very affordable horse back riding holiday, working with horses and hours of riding on the beach and riding safari in the game. Small groups of students, working and riding with horses of all ages. As a riding volunteer you get the opportunity to see our holistic approach to horses and learn how to communicate with horses and join up. Learn equine skills and use your equestrian knowledge to teach clients and underprivileged black children to ride. Work with rescued and abused horses. A horseback riding holiday you can gain work experience for tourism, Hippo Therapy and other equine related jobs.
A high % of our camps at Cher-a-Don (Lalapanzi) Adventure Centre are with troubled kids, at risk teenagers or youth already in trouble with the law. Animal-assisted therapy/learning using horses is an effective program for teaching life skills to troubled, defiant, and/or rebellious adolescents and teenagers.

present activities include abseiling, obstacle course and team building, hiking
both in the Gugura river and on the game farm, canoeing on the farm dam and raft
building, orienteering, kloofing, solitude, bush camp, target shooting, rock climbing,
bird-watching, environmental exploring, bush art, volley ball, horse riding, equine
assisted learning and paintball.
Our
abseil experience takes place over looking the Guqura River off a 25-metre
cliff and suitable for all ages.|

Non horse riding working volunteers welcome
Here is an opportunity for you as a volunteer to work where you can make a difference to someone's life, make a difference to the crime rate in South Africa.
Work with underprivileged children and teenagers, from communities that need your help and guidance, many of which have been caught for crimes.
Too often assistance is given in the form of donations. Help by teaching life skills to people who would then be in a position to help themselves in the future, more inclined to go back to school and get an education. With education comes new opportunities. Help us make a "bad kid" into a productive member of society.
